Description Iaki hotel

Located at the center of Mamaia resort, 20 meters from the beach, Iaki 4**** hotel has come to be synonymous to Mamaia, having a long history intertwined with the history of the resort itself. Built in 1957, when the resort had barely started to develop, the hotel was named Yalta at that time. It changed its name into hotel Bucuresti (Bucharest) and so it remained in the collective memory of our parents and grandparents, a symbol of wealth and high end services. Its architecture has delighted generations of tourists with its harmonious blend of perfect arches and the balanced rectangular windows and loggias. In 1999 it was purchased by the world renowned football player Gheorghe Hagi, and today it is named Iaki, keeping very much alive the memory of old times past, through its consideration for the tourists and attention to detail.
It neighbors Venus and Riviera hotels and the commercial area of the Casino is in close proximity, along with the Telegondola. The hotel provides a private beach with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach bars, swimming pool, three restaurants, 2 bars, football field, playground, SPA center, indoor heated pool, parking, boutiques and a sweet shop, all for the comfort and satisfaction of the tourists.
Starting with 2025, the historic wing of the hotel (floors 1-3) is undergoing a complex renovation proccess. The outdoor pools were also renovated in 2024 and are now fitted with modern filtration system, as well as heating system (available from May to September).
The SPA center, opened in 2002 and renovated in 2012, was the first of its kind on the Romanian coast. Unfolding on a 1600 m surface, Iaki SPA consists of an indoor pool with heated water, dry sauna and hammam, jacuzzi, emotional and cervical showers, Vichy showers and a fitness gym with modern and highly performing equipment.
For an exquisite culinary experience, Iaki hotel provides 3 restaurants: Coriolis, Ballroom and Iaki Casino. Tourists who purchase half board services must wear the bracelet given to them at the reception at check in. Buffet is only served in the two restaurants, while the terrace is destined for a la carte menus. You can also enjoy a lovely atmosphere in one of the hotel’s bars: Piano and Sunrise. The conference center consists of many conference rooms with a total capacity of 400 people and includes all the necessary amenities for a perfect event. The reception room can accommodate 150 people. Recently, the cnference room has been expanded with two private meeting rooms: London and Praga.
Parking in front of the hotel is free of charge considering the availability, and access in the underground monitored garage is granted on reservation only and on a fee. Likewise, the hotel provides tourists with an electric car charging station that can charge 2 cars simultaneously.
Iaki hotel is open all year round.

Fun fact: Iaki hotel was the second one to be built in Mamaia, after Rex hotel, more than 50 years ago, and has received many personalities in all of its history thus far.

Breakfast is served in buffet style.
Half board includes breakfast and lunch. The meals are served starting with the second day after check in, including in the check out day.
Full board includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first meal in the check in day is dinner, and in the check out day breakfast and lunch are served.
The meals are served in buffet style for a minimum of 30 guests. Below 30 people, meals are served at plate (menu set).
Guests opting or Full board meal services benefit from free SPA access, otherwise, access is subject to extra charge.
For access to lunch/dinner, wearing the bracelet received at check in, in reception, is compulsory. Meals are served in the 2 restaurants (Ballroom or Coriolis), the terrace only being destined for guests serving A la carte meals.
Sun beds on the private beach are free and cannot be reserved in advance, they are assigned in order of arrival on the beach. Towels for beach / pool are granted in exchange for a special card - obtained at reception. If the card is lost, a fee of 100 lei / towel must be paid.
The hotel does not accept pets.
ATTENTION: FROM THE 27.06.2026-13.07.2026, THE SPA CENTER WILL BE CLOSED FOR ANNUAL MANTAINANCE. The massage and outdoor pool therapies are still available.
Access to the indoor pool, steam room, fitness hall and jacuzzi will be carried out from the 1st floor of A wing, via the walkway.
