Sfanta Maria 2** hotel Techirghiol is located in the center of Techirghiol city, within the boundries of Saint Mary's convent, covering aproximatelly 600 sqm. 
Between 1999-2000 the monastery has set a balneary treatment center, under the protection of Saint Pantelimon, and it is presently working within the Pastoral social center Saint Mary. The numerous requests in recent years have been compelling in expanding the accommodation spaces, reaching a total of 135 places in 70 double or simple rooms, set with bathroom, minibar and tv. The treatment center has undergone a vast modernisation process between 2007-2009, being set with state of the art medical gear, served by experienced doctors and medical staff. The main elements used in the therapies are the sapropelic mud and the extremely salty water of Techirghiol lake.
Sfanta Maria hotel also provides a restaurant.
Guests can enjoy the special energies of this magic place, wandering in the beautiful gardens diligently taken care of by the nuns, with clean alleys and lovely flowers, as well as admire the mosaics displayed in the new church gardens.

Fun fact: The basis of this sacred spot was set in 1951, when a small wooden church was brought from Sinaia, thus establishing the nuns skete. The little church was built somewhere in the 18th century, and transported, by king Charles's the 2nd command, to Pelisor, Sinaia, in 1934. In the convent's garden, the Saint Pantelimon (protector of doctors and of the sick) fountain can be found, sculpted in brass by the famous artist Ion Jalea, and brought by the Justinian patriarch from Saint Pantelimon hospital in Bucharest.
